Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualisianua) and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." -Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213
Welcome all who wish to have their children receive the sacrament of Baptism
We would like to welcome all who wish to have their children receive the sacrament of Baptism. Parents must be registered and active members of St. Jude prior to baptizing. Baptism classes are required for both parents and godparents. Godparent(s) should be at least 16 years old and must be confirmed and an active member of a Catholic parish. If the Godparent(s) is(are) married, they must be married according to the norms of the Roman Catholic Church. If your child is 7 years or older and has not been baptized, please call the parish office for more information as the information above pertains to newborns and children under 7 years of age.

Quisieramos darle la bienvenida a todas las personas que desean que su hijos reciban el sacramento del bautismo. Los padres deben estar registrados y ser miembros activos antes de bautizar. Los Padres y Padrinos deben asistir clases de bautismo. Padrino(s) tienen que tener por lo menos 16 años y estar confirmados. Si Padrino(s) estan casados, deben estar casados según las normas de la Iglesia Católica Romana. Favor de llamar a la oficina para mas informacion. Si su hijo/a tiene 7 años o más y no ha sido bautizado/a, favor de llamar a la oficina parroquial para más informacion como la informacion anterior se refiere a los recién nacidos y niños menores de 7 años de edad.
