Teens are considered students in 6th - 12th grade. We offer our teens 3 faith formation programs: OCIA, Confirmation classes, and Into the Deep. Please see the blurbs below for a brief description of each program!



Our Teen Faith Formation program is experiencing some

changes for the 2025-2026 school year.

Please read below for the specifics.



Teen OCIA 1 (Grades 6–10):  This is the first year of preparation for students in grades 6–10 who need to receive Baptism (Not all students), First Communion, or Confirmation. In this year, students will not receive a sacrament but will learn about the Catholic faith and begin their journey toward becoming full members of the Church. Class meets on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

*Required Documents: If Baptized, Baptismal Certificate, if not Baptized you will need a Birth Certificate along with Sponsors' required documents, please see below.


Teen OCIA 2 (Grades 6–11): This is the second year of preparation for students in grades 6–10 who need to receive Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation. In this year, students will receive their sacraments in the spring. The class helps students continue learning about their faith and grow as active members of the Catholic Church. Class meets on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

*Required Documents:  If Baptized, Baptismal Certificate, if not Baptized you will need a Birth Certificate along with Sponsors' required documents, please see below.


Confirmation (Ages 15 and up):  This 6-month program is for students ages 15 and older who are ready to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Classes run from November to April, and students will receive Confirmation around May. Class meets on Sundays from 7:15 PM to 8:15 PM.

Into the Deep (Grades 6–12):  This program, formerly known as Ongoing Faith Formation, is for students in 6th through 12th grade who are not currently preparing for a sacrament. The goal is to help students grow in their Catholic faith through community, fun, and learning. Each evening includes dinner, a game, and a lesson. Class meets on Sunday nights from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.


Students who have already received Confirmation are also invited to join us as Peer Ministers.   


**Sponsor Requirements:

  • Must be a practicing Catholic in Good Standing
  • Must be at least 16 years of age and Confirmed
  • If married the marriage must be blessed by the Catholic Church
  • The sponsor cannot be the parent of the student
  • Must also be a role model of the student

***Sponsor Documents:

  • Marriage Certificate (if married)
  • Baptismal Certificate (if unmarried)
  • Holy Communion Certificate (if unmarried)
  • Confirmation Certificate
  • Letter of Good Standing (if not from St. Jude Parish)
  • Parish ID number (if they are from St. Jude -found under ParishSoft registration)
